A Special Session on Frontiers of Language Processing and Information Retrieval for Asian Languages will be held during the
2007 International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Pattern Recognition (AIPR-07).
This special session will look at the current trends and state of the art research of language processing and information retrieval for Asian languages. Recently there has been an explosion of research in Asian languages such as Chinese, Indian, etc. The research for these languages are producing extraordinary results. The scope of the special session include, but is not limited to:
* Natural Language Processing
* Machine Translation
* Information Retrieval
* Language-based Affective Computing
* Dialog Systems
* Question & Answering
* Language Learning Systems
Paper Submission and Publication:
Authors are encouraged to submit the papers for
this session as an email attachment to the Session Chair given
below. The draft paper should not be more than 8 IEEE pages and it should be in MSWORD, PDF, or PS format only.
Each paper will be sent to two experts for review.
All accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings, under the title of the session.
Deadlines:
Draft paper submission due: February 1st 2007
Acceptance/rejection decision: March 1st 2007
Camera ready paper submission and pre-registration: April 2nd 2007
Conference: July 9-12 2007
