Special Session on Computational Intelligence Approaches to Bioinformatics will be held during the 2007 International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Pattern Recognition (AIPR-07). This session provides a forum for the presentation of results in using computational intelligent methods, for example, neural networks, fuzzy logic, genetic algorithms, ant colony optimization etc., to solve challenging problems in bioinformatics and computational biology. The submitted paper may describe a new algorithm or evaluate existing algorithms to solve a bioinformatics problem. The scope of the special session includes, but is not limited to:
- Biopolymer sequence analysis
- Multiple sequence alignments
- Regulatory motif and module discovery
- Gene recognition
- Microarray data analysis
- Genetic networks
- Biological data mining and knowledge discovery
- Computational genomics
- Protein structure
- Computational proteomics
Paper Submission and Publication:
Authors are encouraged to submit the papers for
this session as an email attachment to the Session Chair given
below. The draft paper should not be more than 8 IEEE pages and it should be in MSWORD, PDF, or PS format only.
Each paper will be sent to two experts for review.
All accepted papers will be included in the conference
proceedings, under the title of the session.
